Experienced Havanese Breeders

We have been breeding champion havanese show dogs for 12 years. Our Sires and Dams have all been shown to CKC Champion level with some achieving Grand Champion levels in Canada and the U.S. Our show dogs are specially chosen for temperament and CKC Standards for the breed. As well our show dogs really enjoy being shown so they have as much fun as we do!

Happy, Healthy Bloodline

Our goal is to breed the best possible combination of healthy dogs that are a credit to the breed. All of our puppies have been vet checked, CKC Registered and have been tested to meet Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) requirements of the havanese breed. We will gladly supply links to OFA for prospective purchasers. Our goal is "Success by Design" and we perform additional genetic testing on our Sires and Dams to ensure the best combination of healthy happy dogs.

A Furever Friend

Havanese have a great temperament and are outgoing, like to have fun and are very intelligent. They are great with children and other pets. They are also active and were originally bred to be companions for Cuban children. Havanese are non-shedding and hypoallergenic which is very important in a family environment. Our puppies are socialized and trained and ready to move right in.

We are looking for families who are interested in providing a foster home for our younger breeding girls.

The girls range in age from 12 months to adult, have achieved CKC Chamionship/Grand Championship and are house trained as well as leash and crate trained. As experienced show dogs they all have great manners and personalities.

Our foster homes provide the girls with a loving home and at the end of their breeding career can stay with the foster home furever. The program starts with a detailed interview with the potential foster mom and/or family to fully explain the program and to determine the best fit for our female.
The girl stays with the family until their first heat after they have turned 2-years-old and then are brought to us for breeding. After breeding they return to their foster home until they are a week or so away from whelping. We also take the girl to a vet of our choice during the pregnancy for routine examinations. The girl stays with us until the pups are weaned - 4 to 5 weeks and is then returned to the foster family. We usually breed 2-3 times with the girl and then we cover the cost of spaying as well as any routine vet exams and vaccinations. We do charge a fee for the girl (deposit and final fee after spaying) which is determined based on her CKC status. After that the girl is transferred to the foster family furever!

Where did the havanese breed originate

Although the Havanese is new to the AKC and CKC, the breed has been in existence in it's native Cuba for centuries as a treasured family pet, Bred to play with children in the courtyards of aristocratic Cubans. Through the years, the Havanese has been bred for companionship. It's gorgeous good looks and endearing personality make the breed a wonderful house pet. The Havanese is a social, happy dog, that greets all with a friendly welcome.

Is there a waitlist to adopt a puppy?

Yes, we have waitlist. A number of future owners come to us through the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) website under registered breeders. We also get enquiries through our Website (you are here now) and word of mouth. After initial communication with future owners, we would then schedule a visit to our home so you can meet us and our dogs and so we can meet you. If this is the puppy you choose then we request a payment of a non-refundable deposit and we email a set of documents for the new owner to complete. When the puppy is ready to go we arrange pick up or drop off.

Are havanese good with children?

Children LOVE the breed. They are non-shedding and hypoallergenic and make excellent companions. They love to play and are very energetic but also enjoy cuddling on the couch.
